Lytham St Anne's

It's my birthday on Friday and I shall be 21......  or perhaps a little  lot more than 21. :-)  We've booked a couple of days in Lytham St Anne's on the recommendation of a couple of different people. Must be honest and say it wasn't our first choice of place to stay but everywhere else we tried was fully booked this coming weekend. I'm going out for tea tomorrow night with Alexander and Beckah and then out for lunch with two good friends on Thursday. This morning I had a slice of cake with Ann and Geoff when we called in to wish him a happy 80th birthday. It would have been churlish to refuse it wouldn't it. It's most definitely not the week to be thinking about the low carb diet. Back on track next week and I can cut out the extra carbs again. It hasn't been difficult to do at home but it's considerably trickier  to eat out on a low carb diet.  I'm chuffed to bits to be able to say that I am now 9st 11 and only need lose a few more pounds and I will be happy. The keto/low carb diet has been brilliant as I've not felt hungry at all.  I've turned into queen of the omelettes and can whizz up a pretty decent pancake with almond or coconut flour. I want to try my hand at baking with the different flours as it would be nice to have a lower carb treat now and then.

    Whoops! I had the 8th marked on calendar, so must pop in & remedy that.(giggle). Hope you have a lovely weekend away & the weather plays nicely. Somewhere I've never been, though we've been to a few places on the west coast of northern England. Take care & hugs.

      Mornin' Susan. The British seaside towns all seem to need a lot more care than they have received over the years. They are all looking very tired and shabby so we don't have any great expectations that Lytham St Anne's will be any different. We hope to be pleasantly surprised

    It's Jon's birthday tomorrow - you're almost twins! Wishing you a very happy birthday and have a fab time in Lytham. We went to a big open air gig a few years ago and loved the place, there's a cracking Wetherspoons and some decent chazzas but the wind drove us mad! xxx
