Lovely sunshine

Do you remember when I posted about the 'big hedge' belonging to the church being cut at the bottom of my garden?  Well last night at about 07.45 our sitting room was flooded with sunshine. It's going to be lovely all summer long and we are interested to see if we get sunshine flooding the house through the winter.  I don't recall ever seeing it before and I've been here nearly nineteen years.

It was lovely to see and with a bit of luck we can enjoy it for a year or two before the hedge grows back.  And speaking of hedges growing back, I washed my hair and it looks so much better this morning. My head looked enormous with the hair all stiff and fluffed up.

  1. Look at that wonderful light! What a difference that hedge-cutting must have made. x

  2. It's incredible, the difference it makes, isn't it? I found the same when next door removed their 'hedge'. I just didn't realise how much difference it had made.

    1. We knew it had made a difference but are staggered at how much lighter it is without the hedge blotting out the sunshine

  3. I always hated going to salons to have my hair done as they just can't stop 'titivating', and I too hate my hair all fluffed up and looking 'posed'. And hairdressers never listen to what you want, they just do what they want! At least my lovely hairdresser neighbour listens to me, she doesn't blow dry my hair as she knows I don't like it messed about with.

    1. I used to have a friend of a friend cut my hair at home but it was always a bit hit and miss. One day I will find a hairdresser that will actually listen to me

  4. Maybe you could do a bit of sneaky trimming to keep it short. Not your hair, lol. The hedge.
