My whist group and I were saying today that nobody makes the effort to dress up through the day any more. We've agreed to all wear a nice dress next week (only the ladies of course). I've got some really lovely dresses and it'll be nice to start wearing them again. I'm looking forward to trying things on that I haven't worn in ages.
We're looking at open gardens to visit and have our eyes on quite a few dotted around the country. We'll be staying two or three days in the areas that we pick and exploring places we've never been before. We're also looking at booking a couple of caravan holidays so that we can explore new areas. If you've been anywhere worth visiting please let me know
Interesting. I guess there's a time and a place for dressing up and a lot of us don't have that much dressing up stuff in our lives now. xx
ReplyDeleteI used to think that too but I'm determined to make more of an effort to dress up.
DeleteOh yes, wear a pretty dress and model it for us!
ReplyDeleteWill do.x
DeleteDid you mention that you and your husband did some kind of waltz that involved a bit of stomping? It was on a recent post? I tried to go back and see it and I can't. I might be mixed up, it could be another blogger from England. 🤔
ReplyDeleteWe did. It's the St Bernard waltz. Great fun and so easy to master
DeleteThanks so much for telling me!! What post do you have this on? I really loved it.
DeleteIt was on my We have newts post on 23rd May
DeleteHave you ever been to Southwold on the Suffolk coast? Southwold itself is very pretty with its lighthouse, the pier, attractive beach huts and interesting architecture. Sutton Hoo is worth a visit, as are Orford and Framlingham Castles. There are lots of pretty villages (Thorpeness is interesting) and a variety of beaches and RSPB sites. Charmaine
ReplyDeleteThanks Charmaine. It sounds lovely and definitely worth a visit
DeleteOh what fun to have some time away planned
ReplyDeleteYou're right, nobody dresses up anymore.
