Two ceilidhs in a row

Tony and I have danced our legs off this weekend.  On Friday we danced the night away and then did the same last night. At last we've mastered the St Bernard's waltz and I requested it from the band last night. At the end of the night we were told that the next ceilidh would be in April.  I asked if we could have one sooner and they're now considering having one in March. I pushed my luck and asked if we could have a monthly one. The band smiled and said they'd look into it. I think the fact that the hall was absolutely jam packed last night may have swayed them in our favour. It was great to see a load of younger people enjoying themselves there last night. It's been mostly us older folk for many years.  The young folk were amazed at how much fun a ceilidh is.

Tony and I are going along to a folk dance club on Friday.  If we enjoy it we'll go every Friday and learn some new dances.

  1. Sounds like great fun! I would think they would be very welcome at this time of year when it's hard to find things to go to.

    1. The ceilidh dances are so much fun. We thoroughly enjoy the company of everyone that goes to the dance.
