Pretty flowers

Look what my friend brought for me the other day. Aren't they pretty.

And this is what I see as soon as I open the door to step outside.  The hosta has barely been nibbled at all. It'll soon be time to empty the raised bed planter. I'm going to fill it with viola this year. It'll be pretty through the winter and then once the weather picks up next year it'll be gorgeous.  Perfect to brighten up late winter

  2. The flowers look amazing.

Many years ago, when I was actually doing things in the garden, I found that copper tape around planters didn't solve everything, but it cut down on a lot of slug damage.

  3. The flowers are lovely from your kind friend. Very cheerful. My hostas have done well this year in their new home near the pond. They have been quite safe from any slug/snails on the prowl. I might add a few more for next year.
