Christmas shopping

 Several years ago Tony bought me a gorgeous sheepskin flying jacket.  I wore it to the cinema the other night and he mentioned that he'd like one too. I've just emailed a company about buying one and am waiting to hear back from them. I've looked at many reviews of different companies and this particular company sounds amazing.  Please be very careful folks and look at reviews when you are spending your hard earned cash. Some of the companies I read about had shocking reviews. It's to be his main Christmas present and we both take good care of our clothes so it'll last him a very long time. 

I  was supposed to be invigilating at the university today but the exam has been rescheduled for Friday.  Unfortunately I'm not available as we've made plans to go to see some of the 200 year anniversary of the railway events that are being held in Shildon.  The museum there is actually called Locomotion and we've been many times before. Not working has freed up the whole day for me so I can finish emptying the conservatory in readiness for the new vinyl floor which is being laid tomorrow.  I am particular looking forward to the Fridge freezer arriving on Friday. We choose to support our local shops even though we pay more than if we'd bought online. I feel that those of us lucky enough to be able to afford to really ought to be doing this. We've done our years of struggling to make ends meet and now are enjoying our retirement years.
