Oh what fun we're going to have when my state pension drops into my account. We're already planning lots of mini breaks and long weekends. Now that we're looking Autumn in the eye and watering the veg garden will slow down we won't be tied to any particular length of time. We're off to Hull next weekend and really looking forward to it

Thank you for the tour of the garden. It's all looking rather lovely. I'm glad you were at least able to save the apple tree. That's a nice crop of potatoes.

Deletethe great thing about the British pension it drops into your account every 4 weeks. Here in Canada it's once a month on the 26th of the month.

DeleteWe are newly retired (having been Dinkies all our lives) & thoroughly enjoying it!! Thanks to a good final salary pension that my OH had and my teacher's pension, we are not too badly off. We intend to enjoy ourselves!
