Lovely Lytham St Anne's

Tony and I arrived in Lytham st Anne's yesterday for a long weekend. After checking into the guest house we went out to explore the town. There's a gorgeous park here called  Ashton Gardens and the formal flower beds are beautiful.

After a quick snooze we went back out and had fish and chips then went to the cinema to see Naked Gun. I haven't laughed so much in ages and would highly recommend seeing it. How refreshing to watch a film that wasn't filled with the F word.  I utterly detest bad language and have pretty much given up watching TV. I'd rather listen to the radio while crafting.

Today we spent nearly three hours  at the Open Allotment event. By the time we left the Allotment site we were famished so called into The Blue Sky Thai restaurant for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious and we're heading out soon to have our evening meal there. The owner was lovely and spent ages talking us through different things on the menu and suggesting a few different dishes that might suit us.

  1. We went to a gig in Lytham a few years back, the wind drove us nuts but it is a lovely genteel place - great chazzas and a good Wetherspoons, too! xxx

    1. It's definitely the windiest place we've ever been. Lovely though and the people were so friendly

  2. Hi Cherie-I could have met you for a coffee in St Anne’s as we have been here since Friday in our motorhome. I have seen many films in that little cinema as we have been coming here at least twice a year since the 1970s. You’ll need to come back when the Square is finished as it’s a bit of a mess just now. We’ve just arrived home now to Central Scotland to avoid the wind while driving our motorhome. Catriona
