Earlier this year I bought 750g of Jazzy potatoes from our local Spar. They were in the bargain bin and cost me 38p. We ate some and I planted three potatoes in each of six big tubs. I've just harvested 730g from one tub so they've practically paid for themselves already.
And who new that such a thing as mitre shears existed? Well certainly not me until I saw a lady using a pair to cut and mitre wood to make skirting board for her doll's house. Of course I 'needed' to buy a pair.. oh yesssss I did. They arrived yesterday and are brilliant for cutting the mitres for my little boards. They're no good for cardboard but they leave a well defined line that is easy to follow. I'll keep the blades especially for that purpose as they get blunt.

Who can resist a good gadget!
