First cucumber of the season

On Sunday  while I was chatting with my friend Deb who lives down on Kent I looked up to see my very first mini cucumber. I hadn't noticed it getting bigger and the plant is smothered in tiny cucumbers. The variety is Goblin and I'll be harvesting it this coming weekend. It's invigilating fortnight and I have a four hour long exam this morning.  Tony and I are going out for lunch afterwards then I think k it'll be a gardening afternoon.  I'm currently making a black and white angel to wear as a necklace. It's looking very effective.

  2. I think you'll have needed some time in the garden after that exam. Four hours is a long time. Xx

    1. It passed quite quickly as I was engrossed in my Jack Reacher novel.

    1. It's a very slapdash 'live or die' method of gardening

  4. How wonderful to have your own cucumbers! I've planted some cucumber seeds this year for the first time and I'm looking forward to seeing if they'll grow and produce anything!
