It's been a real scorcher today and I've spent most of the day gardening. I popped next door and trimmed the hedge on my neighbours side and was beetroot red by the time I finished so had to sit inside for while to cool off. I made sure to apply plenty of sunscreen and wear my hat when I eventually ventured outside. Tony has man flu so stayed in bed until after 3pm. Hopefully the good rest has done him the world of good. We're both invigilating tomorrow then going out for lunch if he's up to it.
I've planted another grapevine in memory of my friend. She'd be tickled pink to pick fresh grapes if she was still here with us.
