My friend had the biopsy taken yesterday and we were staggered when they came and took her for radiotherapy treatment a few hours later.
I spent the afternoon at the hospital and hopefully they have sent her home this evening. They think there's less chance of her picking up an infection at home. Now we wait and hope that the treatment will be successful. As soon as I get home from carving club I'll find out whether she got home safely.
I hope your friend does okay with the treatment and it is successful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. We're all keeping our fingers crossed.
DeleteI can imagine how shocking that would be when it wasn't expected. I'm glad she got the treatment right away though, rather than have to wait and wait; and she didn't have as much time to worry about it - that much is done now at least. Sending continued wishes for a good outcome and successful treatment for your friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny. Marian is such an independent person and struggling to ask for help. Thankfully I only live a short walk away so I'll be able to pop in at a moments notice when I'm at home.
DeleteI do hope she will be OK and that the treatment is what's needed. xx
