Tony and I finally got around to seeing the latest Bridget Jones film at the local cinema. What a disappointing experience. The film is rubbish and the language absolutely filthy. Does anyone really use the f word constantly in front of small children. I wanted to scrub her mouth out with soap.
On a gardening front, my seedlings are all popping up nicely and I'm going to have a really colourful garden this year. With a bit of luck I won't need to buy any bedding plants... now that is need and not want so I'd better not say that a few won't slip into the house.
Yeah, I skimmed the book when it was first out, and it wasn't worth the time it took to do it :)
ReplyDeleteI could have done with less swearing, but that's the nature of the series so I was t shocked. Being a recent widow of similar age, though not with young children, I could relate to so much and thought the movie overall was quite poignant. We all have different things that we like or not so good there's variety in entertainment. I watched free on a streaming service and didn't know the premise of this last movie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on that film. It doesn't surprise me, the "F" word is used like the word "the" these days! Nothing better than seeing your seedlings pop up!
ReplyDeleteI've not got into those films but gathered this one was OK, judging by comments I read. Not for me though and I agree re language - it really jars. xx
ReplyDeleteOh that's disappointing about the film. I liked the others. I shall maybe watch it when it comes out on the television. Can't wait to see more gardening photos. I enjoy the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat's disappointing to hear. I was quite looking forward to watching the film. Xx
ReplyDeleteA shame that so much bad language spoiled the film for you. I would have felt the same.
