The weather has been a bit crazy hasn't it. At the beginning of the week I was able to sit out in the garden with lovely warm sunshine on my face. By the end of the week we had sleet and hailstones. I spent some of the indoor time potting on my seedlings and catching up with housework. On Friday night I stayed over at my friend's to give her family a break. I'd borrowed a wheelchair from a friend so that Tony and I could take her to play whist. I'm sure it did her the world of good but she was exhausted by 9pm so it was a very early night for us both. I read my book for a couple of hours and then probably had the best sleep I've had in a while.
Last night Tony and I went to a ceilidh. We danced our little legs off and had a thoroughly lovely time. Didn't get home until 10.45 and read for a while to wind down.
It's 'Seedling Sunday' as I have named it. This is when I try to remember to film the seedlings in my porch. It gives me a visual record for future reference. The tulips in the front garden are opening at last. They're making such a pretty display along with the daffodils

ReplyDeleteYes, the weather is a bit crazy at the moment. I like the idea of your Seedling Sunday. I don't have many seedlings to show yet though.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely for your friend to be able to go to whist and enjoy the company even if she was tired at the end. I'm sure her family appreciated your kindness as well.
I love the colour of those tulips! Nice of you to relieve your friend's family. That is a rare pleasure for caregivers. And I expect it was a nice change for your friend as well.
