It's a good job we're going to a ceilidh tonight as I need to dance off my dinner. I over indulged and I'm feeling really bloated. I don't make a habit of eating out but my friend Ann is celebrating her 80th birthday all weekend. She's feeling very lonely since her husband passed away so I'm going to stay at her house on Sunday night. Her family are going home on Sunday and she will feel really alone. We're planning a "girls night in" with a bit of a pamper session and a few games of cribbage. Ann is determined to join as many groups as she can find. Old age really is a frame of mind isn't it. My dodgy leg doesn't stop me getting up and dancing the night away at the ceilidh. I choose to ignore the pain and just get on with life. If I wasn't so strong willed and determined to walk again I would be an invalid now.
It's so nice of you to stay with her. I suppose it will be quite the change for her.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the Ceilidh.
