A week or two I put the discarded base of a head of celery into a small bowl if water. It has already started to push out new green growth. And some of my veg seeds that I sowed the other week are really doing well. They are very pampered as I follow the sun from windowsill to windowsill around the house. I'm hoping to get a very early start on cucumber this year.
