I've just been reading about a product called Biosorb which is used as horse bedding. It sounds as though it would be a brilliant thing to use to deter slugs. They wouldn't like the absorbant quality. I've just contacted the manufacturer to ask if it would be safe to use on the garden as a mulch. If they say it is I'll nip out to a local equestrian centre and buy some to try. I'm plagued with slugs and snails so it'll be brilliant if it works. Do any of you know anything about the stuff?
