Leftovers for tea

Yesterday  I cooked a lovely joint of beef and we'll be having a couple of slices with a tray of roasted veggies and some bacon wrapped roasted sprouts for tea.  Leftovers after Christmas are always a real treat and there's plenty for a few days. I've been able to resist most of the mince pies right through the festive period but think I might have one with a good dollop of cream and a drizzle of Baileys tonight.

Edited to show our utterly yummy tea tonight.

Tony and I are planning on a trip to check out the sales at Boundary Mill on Wednesday and we're taking our elderly neighbour with us if we aren't suddenly locked down. The weather's pretty grim though so I'm not sure whether I'll bother going for a walk first thing... it all depends on whether I wake up before 7 or not as I won't be setting my alarm clock. If I sleep on then so be it and if I wake up I will head out for a walk with my friend. Tony and I are really looking forward to spending New Years eve with friends now that the ceilidh is cancelled and then it's straight back onto the low carb diet for me. The pounds are starting to creep back on and it needs nipping in the bud.

  1. So far I've managed not to put more weight on this month, goal, but things need to change in 2022. Enjoy your leftovers.

I think you might get your trip to Boundary Mill - there doesn't seem any sign of more restrictions - fingers crossed.
