Sweet peas in November.. and other summer flowers

Now that the wedding is almost a distant memory and I can return to thoughts of gardening it's hard to believe that it is in fact November. I've just had a wander around my garden to see what is flowering out there and was delighted to see more flowers on my beautiful blue salvia

The purple sweet peas are still flowering their little socks off

Salvia 'Hot Lips' is looking stunning and is smothered in flowers

Antirrhinums of all colours are dotted around the garden. This pink one is gorgeous.

The sweet peas below are actually a bright candy pink and the whole obelisk is smothered in them

Yellow and red dwarf wallflowers are lighting up a little flower bed

I think these are diascia but please correct me if I'm wrong

A white gladioli has just opened and there's another in bud waiting to surprise me.

The roses have the most incredible fragrance.

And that's without  counting the viola and winter pansies that are dotted around the garden. It all looks pretty colourful out there and will make the winter feel a bit shorter if they continue flowering for a while longer. With a bit of luck spring might come early next year after we had such a long cold winter this year
