Jasmine in November

The year before last I took some cuttings from my jasmine and although it's very small it's covered in flowers... In November in the north east of England.  The weather is crazy at the moment and it's a sleeveless day today.. I've even caught the sun a bit while working in the garden. We've been and gathered five wheelie bin liners full of leaves to add to the six bags we collected yesterday and I've had a wander around taking photo's of the flowers currently looking very pretty in the garden.  Hopefully winter will seem a bit shorter this year

Antirrhinums
The salvia hot lips shows no sign yet of stopping flowering and looks really pretty in the border

My sweet peas are still flowering their little socks off

Purple sweet peas

Fragrant roses

Pink sweet peas

Pansies

Dwarf wallflowers

Night scented stock

And this beautiful golden mock orange is lighting up the front garden right now. It looks stunning  and really brightens up the garden

Rainbow chard in the front border

More Antirrhinums

Rosemary flowers

Penstemon

Vanilla scented linaria

This afternoon I planted a load of flowering bulbs into my asparagus bed.  I figure that we can enjoy the flowers and they will be dying back as the asparagus begins to grow.

    1. I've been out this morning and had to take my coat off as it was so warm. It's cooled down a bit now but still weirdly warm for November

  2. Such lovely flowers! Enjoy the sunshine and warmth while you can. They are taking snow here again this weekend. I think they are just trying to keep us on our toes and it will more likely be rain.
