The other day I got a text message inviting me for my booster. It's a bit early really as mine isn't really needed until 3rd December. I've booked it as late in the month as I could on 28th November as I don't think a few days either way will make a difference. My friend had hers a week earlier than was recommended but it may well depend on who is doing the injections. Tony hasn't had an invite yet which surprises us both as he had his jabs a few weeks before I did. I'm not looking forward to it at all as a couple of my friends and neighbours were quite poorly after having the booster. Before I go for mine I'll make a big pan of soup and a lasagne to last a couple of days just in case I am poorly and laid up. That will be lunch and tea taken care of.
Good idea to be well prepared! I'll remember that about preparing food beforehand. I have also heard here that some people have reported, that they had some unpleasant side effects. As it is its only the over 70s who are being notified to go in for the booster at present. Sr P hasn't received his as yet. He is grumbling about it and says he won't go but he will! This pandemic seems never ending... sigh! Take care. Amanda x
ReplyDeleteother half keeps trying to book his , hes classed as clinically vulnerable , every time he gets the text he rings but theyre booked up , it would seem they only send them so many boosters and they only let them know a couple of days previous
ReplyDeleteOurs are due around Xmas & I've not heard of any bad side affects here yet & we are both over 70, so suppose we've a good chance of getting done on time. Good idea about the pre-meal prep. Hope all goes well. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteIt's reassuring to hear that side effects aren't common. xx
DeleteWe both had our boosters yesterday and, just like the previous two jabs, neither of us had no ill effects whatsover.
ReplyDeleteTony doesn't need to wait to be invited, he can enter his details on the NHS Coronavirus vaccination booking website and, if he's eligible, he'll be able to book there and then. Holp this helps! x
That is helpful, Thanks Vix. x
