Brrrr it's chilly

The weather today is decidedly chilly and I've started using the bone broth that I made in the summer. It's so nourishing and is making a lovely base for soups and savoury rices. Tonight I made a huge pan of savoury rice with minced beef and veggies. I used plenty of turmeric and chilli as I wanted to make sure that Tony has had a really warming nourishing meal. He has been for his booster jab this evening so that's now out of the way.  He seems ok so far and hopefully he won't have any side effects. There's plenty of rice for tomorrow so I won't need to cook but can just warm it through. It'll taste even nicer tomorrow too as it will have developed overnight.

I'm starting to get that Christmas feeling and we'll be getting all the decs out of the loft on Sunday. It'll take a couple of days to decorate Kemp Castle in readiness for Santa Claus. I've got not one but two new Christmas jumpers this year... and a hat that lights up.... and a Christmas scarf..... Well you have to really when you love Christmas as much as we do.

  1. My goodness, I can't believe it's nearly silly season as our weather has been more like leading up to a northern hemisphere Xmas & I'm remembering your decorative posts from last year all too clearly still. Have fun.

    1. I'm in the process of clearing space to make way for Christmas. Heaven knows where I am going to put it all until after New year.
