It's hard to believe that it's nearly November when the garden is still filled with summer flowers. The roses are gorgeous and the pelargoniums are flowering their little hearts out. Our beautiful acer is starting to turn red and it won't be long before it looks as though it's on fire. There's a huge salvia 'Hot Lips' in the border and it's showing no sign of giving up just yet. Sweet peas are still throwing out more flowers and the scent is wonderful. I'll miss all this colour when it finally fades away but it cheers my soul to think that it won't be all that long before the garden starts all over again.

I grew this lemon scented geranium from a cutting taken from one of my plants. It doesn't seem to mind the cold at all but I will need to think about taking cuttings from it pretty soon.
I've noticed a lot of the trees in the country are still looking very green too.
