Our crazy British weather has struck again. Yesterday was a gorgeous day and today has been flipping freezing. It's definitely a snuggling up in front of the fire kinda evening and that's exactly what we will be doing. Fire's lit and the fleece blankies are over the arm of the sofa. It soon warms up in here once the fire is well and truly glowing. Best of all it warms the chimney breast and transfers the heat right through the house... ermmm, what did you think I was talking about? :-)
I thought maybe a chicken breast. Your stove looks wonderful. I just had an insert installed in my wood fireplace. I did a small fire to break it in, and am hoping that it heats up the whole home once it's roaring and glowing, like yours.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking supper! Chicken breasts, Turkey breast roast. But with a nice snuggly blanket and fire, the body parts are likely good and toasty as well.

We've had twice our average rainfall for September here in our area plus very few sunny days & our fire has been lit for about 2/3rds of the time and it is Spring.......! Your breast looks lovely with that paper design, unlike our heater which sits on a hearth in the lounge-room. Take care, stay safe & warm & hugs.

ReplyDeleteOh lovely. I am hoping to have a few more weeks before I have to turn on the heating. I do have a little heater in the living room that I will turn on before the main heat when things get chilly in the mornings.
