I was expecting a carpet fitter to come and measure up at noon today. When he hadn't arrived by quarter past one I rung the shop and left a message saying that I wasn't best pleased. When he still hadn't arrived at quarter past two I rang the shop and left another message cancelling the order. He arrived fifteen minutes later but I told him I had cancelled. I've been online since and ordered a Vax carpet cleaner... It's saved me an absolute fortune and I'll be perfectly happy with the carpet for a few more years. We don't wear shoes indoors and most of my friends are 'shoes off' people too so the carpets aren't worn and dirty just a bit spattered with tea drips... Tony is a great one for slopping stuff across the carpet.. It's due to arrive on Monday and I shall be busy shampooing carpets next week.
I wish I had morel spine than you. I'd have just been frustrated. I can't believe they wouldn't call if something reasonable caused the delay.
ReplyDeleteIf they'd rung to let me know I would have been fine with that but it infuriates me that people just think it ok to turn up when they feel like it. It's just so darn rude.
