This morning we set off for a few days away to Morecambe to celebrate our anniversary and Tony took the car down to our local tyre fitters for a quick tyre change. We had just pulled into the yard when some twit reversed into us from a disabled parking bay. Turns out it was the manager of a car hire firm (not disabled I hasten to add). He blustered a bit and tried to blame Tony but there were several witnesses and the tyre people are giving Tony a copy of the disc from their camera. Isn't that a great start to our anniversary break. We have a huge dent in the rear passenger car door though we are told it is driveable so we can still get away. Needless to say I am more than a little upset and shaken.
What a horrible thing to happen. And then to try and blame you too - words fail me. Thank goodness people saw what really happened, Hopefully it won't spoil the rest of your break. xx

ReplyDeleteI totally get it, having been backed into by two different people over the course of my driving life. And it's so frustrating to deal with all the calls and paperwork that results from something you're not even responsible for! Just try to put it in a box and put it out of your mind while you are away, and relax if possible. Then deal with it when you get home.
