Blimmin hot

I think we are going to struggle to sleep tonight as it's so warm.  The fan will definitely be getting switched on five minutes before we go up. It'll cool the room down nicely.  I'm sitting in the conservatory right now. The door is wide open and I can smell the night scented stock wafting through the open door. I love fragrant plants and am hoping to get the jasmine cuttings planted at the end of the year. The Jerusalem artichokes currently occupy the big tub that I want to plant the jasmine in. It can then romp away over the trellis and add it's scent next year.

I maybe should have moved the bags of bark before taking the photo.

  1. Hot? Not in the 40's I hope, as that it what we call hot.......just joking as I know our family in UK complain with anything between 25-30deg. Hope the garden doesn't mind as it is looking beautiful. My jasmine had a few odd flowers last week, but it is very windy again, cold & showers forecast for the next 8 days......really!!! I suppose most won't venture out anyway as we are in another STRICT lockdown & can't go further than 5kms from our front door. Oh, when will it ever end? Take care, stay safe & hugs.

    1. I couldn't cope with 40 degrees. I used to be a real sun worshiper but much prefer it cooler these days.

  2. Hi, it is hot but no humidity! I’m sitting in the airport at the moment. So it’s a goodbye for me for a wee while. It’s quite busy. Those idiots who think they are clever going on holiday. I just pray they don’t bring covid back to your fair country.
My husband joins me in two weeks. And your right I didn’t sleep a wink. Sending love and huggs to you both.

  4. Send some our way, we are still feeling quite chilly here, struggling to get back 18 degrees but feels so much cooler due to the wind. Your garden is a delight, all your hard work rewarded.
