Art in miniature

My friend Marian is the most amazing artist and over the years has created a number of paintings for me using a variety of different art mediums. Yesterday I asked her if she would paint a picture in miniature for my doll's house.  I asked for a mini 'bubbles' picture as I have a full size version that she painted for me a couple of years ago. Just look at what she gave me today. They are about three inches by four inches and my intention is to make frames for them and hang them on the walls in the doll's house.

After our walk I worked in the front garden until about 2pm when I was absolutely bushed and ready for a rest.  Brenda and her uncle Brian had dropped some more reindeer poo off yesterday and I needed to shovel it up off the drive and put it in bags. I moved some of the coral pink penstemon and was delighted to discover a new penstemon hiding amongst the existing one. It must have grown from a seed as it isn't one I've ever bought. It's white with pink edges to the flowers and I'm hoping that it will form a nice big clump. I'm creating a large topiary ball from a box plant that came in a mixed planter of shrubs. It's really starting to take shape nicely and looks rather good if I do say so myself. Then I had to give the holly lolly  a good trim to bring it back into shape. All the rain recently has caused everything to really sprout.

  1. Ooh, what lovely paintings - how nice of your friend to make those!

You have such a green thumb, Cherie. And I must catch up on your posts to read more about the reindeer poo.
