All planted up

The lovely hubby Tony has spent all weekend making the crate into a proper raised bed planter for me. He put a false bottom  in to make a storage place for my plant pots and a spare set of gardening tools. It means I won't have to come trekking through the house and down to the shed every time I want to do a spot of gardening at the front of the house.

The little hatch

He's weeding not bowing down to me  :-)

Isn't it lovely. It fits perfectly there in a lovely sunny spot

It's already planted up with a few transplanted seedlings and some carrot seeds

And now the garden bench is getting a coat of Willow too.  It's so much nicer than the cold tea coloured faded wood that it was.

  1. Looks good! And what a practical reuse of an item. Love the color that you've been painting everything. Your garden looks very neat and well taken care of. Ranee (MN) USA

  2. I absolutely love it, what a brilliant freebie and looking very posh in posh person's green (that's what us common folk call it!) xxx

    1. Thanks Vix. I'm chuffed to bits at how it's turned out.

  3. Looks lovely & may take a few ideas from it for our garden. I do wish we had Cuprinol over here with it's lovely colour range & I know it weathers well. Take care & hugs.

    1. It looks so fresh and pretty. A far cry from the tired faded wood it all was.

  7. That's lovely, I love the idea of the hidden storage space, that's borderline genius! The colour is so pretty and the overlapped panels at the sides kind of give off a beehive vibe which is really pretty too.
