Just had a phone call from Alexander. Following Boris's announcement they have had to postpone the wedding until 30th October. They are both so disappointed as they have been planning it for the past 18 months. I know there are many other couple that have had to do this but this is our family and it affects us. Oh well, we'll keep our fingers crossed that we will be allowed to celebrate in October.
Sorry, Cherie. 'Freedom', or normality, just seems to get further and further away doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI think I have almost forgotten what normality was like. I so long to a return to freedom but think it's going to be a lot longer than four weeks.
DeleteThat's too bad, understand their frustration. My grand daughter and fiance postponed theirs last year until July 2nd this year. In between then and now they had a baby which was wonderful and they are going ahead with the wedding this time regardless. The reception may be changed to outside.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a pity but we do understand that it's necessary.
DeleteNo......things for so many people are in such a muddle these days, I really feel for them & you as a family. Just doing some catchup as we've had i'net issues due to the floods and wind damage caused by the storms last week. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteFloods... Wind damage?????? Makes our problems look like a minor little thing. Hope you are safe and didn't suffer too much damage.
DeleteSo sorry to hear about the cancellation, it has been a long hard struggle with the end date forever changing.
