I treat myself

After seeing the gorgeous china fish shaped plates on Fabby's lovely blog I knew I needed some. FABBY'S LIVING (fabbysliving.blogspot.com)

I went online and after a lot of deliberation I chose these. I adore pretty glassware and these are going to be lovely when I serve seafood salads or anything with a fish theme.  Prawn cocktails would be lovely served in the smaller shallow dishes and a plateful of salmon or tuna sandwiches would look gorgeous served on the big platter.

One of six glass plates/shallow dishes

The large glass platter.

Tony is delighted with them but both Alexander and my friend Marian rolled their eyes....Each to their own I say. :-)

  7. Hi Cherie, thought you might be interested to know that I saw your set of fish-shaped plates in a consignment shop here in Toronto. They are asking $73 for the set (about £43). It was described as "Arcoroc - Poisson" from France and consists of the large platter and six side plates. I know you'll enjoy your set. Regards, Elaine
