Hail stones

So much for the sunshine yesterday.  The rain and hail made up for it today. It's absolutely hammered down on and off all day.  How's the weather been where you are?  Do you think summer is on its way yet?  I turned into Edward Scissorhands this afternoon when I couldn't stand my haircut a minute longer.  I have chopped a bit off here and chopped a bit off there.  Then I snipped a bit more round the back and I'm happy with it. Tony never noticed bless him but he's a man and he wouldn't notice if I dyed it purple.  He surprised me with a beautiful orchid plant when he came in from work tonight.

Isn't this beautiful

  1. This post made me laugh Cherie! Typical man! I swear men are all cast from the same mould! My husband never notices if I have my hair done or am wearing a new outfit! I sometimes say when I have had my hair done "Do you like it?" and he looks me over and says are you wearing something new? Grr! Yes.. your Tony has got his heart in the right place though! Orchids do make up for not noticing :-) Fabulous Orchid! Amanda x

    1. Tony can be a real sweetheart even if he isn't very observant. x

  2. Not noticing is a very male thing, but at least yours brought you a wee present. Mine did before retirement sometimes, but suppose because we do most things together these days it is different. Blowing a hooley here with lots of rain over night, so we'll see what today brings, other than another lockdown by the sound of it. More cases in Melbourne. When will it ever end? Take care & hugs.

  3. That's gorgeous. What a sweet and thoughtful gift. A lot of men don't notice haircuts or new color. My ex couldn't tell when I had put henna on my hair, but it made me feel pretty.

  4. Beautiful Orchid. Sadly I would probably kill it.
Weather here is too hot too quickly. I don't mind warm but it's hot and muggy and doesn't seem to cool down at night. A front is supposed to come through though so hopefully will cool things down!

    1. I moan about the cold and damp and then when we get decent weather I moan about the heat.

  5. That is one gorgeous orchid.

Maybe you need to dye your hair purple just to test your hypothesis about your husband :)

  6. Hail??? Oh, no, poor garden. I hope no damage was done.
The orchid is simply lovely - how kind.

  7. Orchids are just so glamorous aren't they. It's been like April for the constant changing of sunshine and showers this week. Things have been a bit calmer today and it looks to be improving at long last thank goodness. Arilx
