Well it turned out nice after all

What started off as a freezing cold day has turned into a surprisingly warm one.Tony and I have planted a small mixed hedge using all the privet and Euonymous cuttings that I took last year. They've rooted really well and as we only want to keep it low it will establish really quickly.  We reckon that about three feet tall is plenty high enough at the front of the house. I've given the mock orange a good trim and my rosemary has had a few hefty branches sawn off. The scent in the 'green waste'  bin is amazing. I'll need to keep on eye on the watering though as soil in the front garden is bone dry. It seems ages since we had any meaningful rain. Just the odd spit and spot.

The newly planted cuttings are hardly visible on the photo.

Two big black trays ready for the grow bags...

  1. Looks like you are doing lots in the garden at the moment, even though you seem to potter a lot anyway. Look forward to seeing the front garden come along. Take care &hugs.
