I've just ordered a box from Hello fresh after finding a 50% off voucher on tinterweb. The first box is 50% off with free delivery and the next three will be 35% off. Not sure whether that includes free delivery but still a bit of a bargain. I have chosen the five meals option so I won't have to think about what to cook for tea. It's only costing me just shy of £20 for the five meals for two people. My understanding from a friend who orders them is that the portions aren't huge. That's not a bad thing as Tony and I can be a bit generous when it comes to portion size and I am trying to reduce the amount on our plates. This will be good for us both to actually see what a proper portion should actually be. It's due to arrive on the 11th April so I will do an unboxing and a review of the meals as we eat them. Have you tried any of these boxed meal services? The You Tube reviews appear to show very nice meals.
Tony came in from work last night with some tins of pear cider for me, a huge multi bag of crisps and a bunch of flowers.... I'm sure the real Tony has been stolen by aliens as this one was up with the larks again this morning
When I went to meet up with my friend Marian for our walk this morning she gave me an Easter egg each for Tony and I. I have such lovely friends. The chocolate bunny is mine from Tony.
I didn't even know what UK Easter eggs were until a few years ago from seeing blogs in grocery stores eith shelves of giant chocolate eggs. In US that's what we call the colored hardboiled eggs we make with kids. I suppose there's a few of your eggs mixed with choclate bunnies and jelly beans and peeps. I'll be interested in your Hello Fresh review as I've not tried.
ReplyDeleteThis is a coincidence. My Daughter has had her first box and she is ordering mine tomorrow when we go out to dinner with her. She has tried a couple of the meals and she's really pleased. I'll let you know when I get mine and we can compare.

I'll also be interested to hear about your Hello Fresh experience as we have that one out here too. I actually thought you'd joined in the "photo hunt" when I saw the chocolates.(giggle). Enjoy the long weekend, take care & hugs. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteI'd love an Easter egg! They don't sell them here and I really miss them. Once in a while Mum would get me one to have when I came over lol. I remember when they used to come with mugs.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the meal box. I'm just not sure it would be worth it for us. There are the two of us plus grown son and I don't eat the same as they do lol. I'll be looking forward to your review of it!
