The shed's down

Tony and I have worked our puddings out today.  The shed wasn't difficult to take down but it was flippin heavy. Just in case you assumed incorrectly  I must confess that I am not a twenty year old 6ft 4 bloke.  I am a sixty something 5ft 3 lady. I bet we both ache tomorrow but we still have it all to cut up and take to the dump. Some of the wood will be used to repair the fence at the bottom and some we'll keep 'just in case'. Our garden looks like a wrecking yard at the moment but I can already visualise how it's going to look by the summer.

  1. That looks like a pretty good shed to me, was it rotten?

    1. It was badly rotten. It looked lovely from the front but only the front panel had no rot on it.

  2. Wow, it's down & I'd need help too with being a 70 something & only 4'10 1/2" lady, but do have a 6'3" DH, though he'll be 73 next month. I applaud you both for being up to these challenges. Look forward to seeing the new patio area come to fruition & maybe pinch some of your ideas (giggle). Take care, stay safe & huggles. PS: We've just cleared a lot of overgrown shrubs up the back corner & may think of a couple of chooks (chickens to UK residents) & have fresh eggs. Thinking on it for now.

    1. I had thought about getting some quail but don't want the responsibility of animals as we like to get away on bus trip holidays several times a year.

    2. Actually as I said we are only thinking about it, because like you, we enjoy getting away in our caravan or longed-for UK trips to see family, so that is also a problem for us.

  3. Worth all the hard work in the end, such a great achievement getting it all down.
