Lavender bags

This morning Tony went off out for a walk with his friend Ken. That left me a morning free to make a few lavender bags. Well bags isn't really the correct word for them but you know what I mean.  They are so pretty and would make a really simple make if you are trying to raise funds for your favourite charity. I bet they would make lovely gifts if you made/bought some pretty gift boxes.  Three or four in a box would look really sweet. I plan to tie a tiny bow around the gather on each one as I think it will finish them off nicely. It's a lovely stash buster too. While I was making them an email came through on my phone from my new friend Susan in Australia. It was lovely to be able to share my photo with her while in the process of making them. It's a very small world really.

  2. These are lovely. We used to grow lavender and I made many lavender bags but just sewed them in a rectangle , tied with pretty ribbon and added a small artificial flower to the side. I had the idea of making tiny bikini tops which would have been cute but I never got round to doing it!

  6. Oh my goodness, I love them!! You have such great lavender in England, you are making me "homesick".
(Can't go to England this year, so will just have to enjoy my English bloggers.)
    Take Care! :-)

    1. I love the lavender in my garden but it is a bit of a thug and needs a hefty trim each year.

  7. Those look so pretty and I love the smell of lavender. I tried growing some here but it didn't do too well. I might try some in pots and see how that goes.

    1. Thanks Sharon. My lavender is absolutely glorious every year and much loved by the bees all summer long.

  8. Got the photo just as I was about to close the laptop & think they are gorgeous. I was sort of half watching Shetland & doing some emails, but they got me thinking of doing some as gifts too, if I can access some lavender. I put in 2 here, but both didn't last. When we lived on the other side of town we had several. Thanks for the tutorial, take care & huggles.
