I have had such a lovely day today. I did my early morning walk first thing. Then I walked a different route with another friend. This second friend really takes social distancing to the extreme and walks at least six feet behind me and at a snails pace. My back aches terribly when I have been for a walk with her but I don't let on. Before I set off this morning I stripped the bed and managed to get my bedding washed and pretty much dried outside before the rain started. We love the smell and feel of line dried laundry.
After my second walk I made a gift box for Beckah's bracelet. It makes it look so much nicer if you give jewellery in a pretty box and it didn't really take all that long to make. The little thing with the flower on is a band to hold the box nice and snug
This afternoon I cleaned out the pond filter. Not sure when that became my job but it would never get cleaned if it was left to Himself. I always tip the nasty sludge water onto the base of my roses as it will be filled with fish poo so must do them some good. The strawberries in the garden seem to be getting ignored by the birds at the moment. I picked two of the sweetest juiciest ones I have had in a while.
Tea tonight was a takeaway from a local pub. They usually serve lovely meals so when we discovered that they are doing takeaway we ordered one. It didn't disappoint.
Pie chips and gravy, what's not to like. Beautiful box for a lovely bracelet.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteYour food looks delicious.
I shall be inspired by you to continue my one walk a day!
Have a cozy afternoon.
Your box looks lovely & I so need to learn a few extra crafts, I wish we lived closer. Your takeaway meal looks delicious. As we are allowed to travel further we took ourselves to a bayside beach with our picnic basket, buttered sandwiches, fruit & thermos, then DH bought some hot chips & we had chip butties in the car looking out over the bay. Wonderful. Enjoy the weekend, take care & huggles.
ReplyDeleteThe meal looks so delicious and the bracelet is simply beautiful, as is the little gift box. Lucky Beckah!
