The rain has hammered down both day and night for the past few days. It's bashing away on the conservatory roof as I type. Looks like we won't be doing any gardening today. I think I may need to build an ark.
Are you crafting at the moment? I'm currently making some little quilted cushions for the kids. It's just a bit of fun to make them smile as they have four cats. ... Cat, Mouse, Pumpkin and Patch. I bought fat quarters of cat, mouse and pumpkin fabric. Poor Patch will have to make do with a patchwork cushion. I spent yesterday quilting around the cats on one of the pieces of fabric. I intend to put a border around each panel when they are made and turn them into small rectangular cushions. I've ordered cushion pads from ebay as it's easier than faffing about making my own cushion pads.
We are waiting for rain to arrive here, Cherie. We need some good rain as things have been drying out. Tomorrow, it is meant to rain all day so I got in and did the washing and worked in the garden today. I like the cat characters on your quilted cushions. Meg:)
ReplyDeleteRaining here too & howling with wind, but we've had a dry spell this month (unusual for June), so have been expecting it. Yes, crafting has bee happening here, as even on sunny days our yard just doesn't seem to dry out from dew or frost, so not much doing on the garden front. Not much woodworking either for DH as he's been repairing trailer so we can get more firewood. The cushions are looking good & I tend to collect cat fabric & bought some last year in Whitby. Take care, stay safe & huggles.
ReplyDeleteThat cat fabric is sweet! Your kids are going to love those cushions.
ReplyDeleteYesterday (Saturday) was gorgeous here and today looks just as good (sorry).
