Sunburn

Guess which silly so and so has allowed her back to burn in the sun. I am usually really careful and generally wear a t shirt that covers me up to the neckline but today I put a sun dress on with a vest top underneath.  My little vest top didn't cover my back like my usual style of t shirt and has allowed the suns rays to burn me. I normally slather myself in factor 50 and develop a lovely tan so long as I am careful.  Annoyingly I completely forgot about the sunscreen until this afternoon, by which time it was too late. Tony has rubbed me with some gel from my Aloe Vera and it has taken the sting out of the burned bit. And speaking of Tony. Look what he has made today.

Garden arch at the entrance.

He has done such a good job of it and it's made the entrance to the house look so much more inviting. Now we want to buy a nice plant or two to climb up the 'ladder'.  We quite like the idea of a winter flowering climber as I can always grow some sweet peas up it in the summer.

  1. What a difference that makes, I can see that with climbers all over it. Lovely.

  3. How clever is that!!! It looks great and will be even more fab with climbers growing up. What are you planning to put there?
Take care and I hope the burns are easier today. It's all too easily done.

  4. I know how awful sunburn can be as I was a redhead (before grey) & am very fair so sizzle in the sun. Hope it doesn't take too long ease. Loving your new arch & can imagine all sorts growing up & over it. Have you a winter flowering vine in mind? Take care, stay safe & hugs.
