My colourful garden and patriotic house

My garden at the moment is filled with lovely bright colours. I think all the plants that are grown mainly for their leaf colour are exceptionally bright everywhere we walk at the moment.  We don't have a Pieris but all around my neighbourhood, the colourful new growth has been incredible. We have a couple of different Euonymus and they are both fabulous.
Yesterday Tony and I put out our bunting. On the 8th of May Is VE day and you know how I love any excuse for a flag wave. We plan to leave it out until this dreadful virus has been beaten back into its box.

The fabulous Rosemary is covered in flowers

The Euonymus is far brighter than even the photo implies

Alexander bought me the Iris for my birthday one year. It is making a lovely clump

We don't remember planting these Iris but they are popping up around the garden so we must have

This pretty little Viola has flowered right the way through the winter

We do like any excuse for a flag wave

This is my self seeded holly. I have trained it into a lolly shape and this year it is smothered with flowers

Be still my beating heart. Oh how I love bunting and flags.

And to finish off my post today. Can't wait until Tony retires. Guess where we are thinking of going. The video is a good hint

    1. If we can find a house that we like as much as this one we might consider moving. We have thought about it many times over the years but the weather is a bit off putting.

    1. Thanks Joy. Not a holiday though, a potential house move. I like Scotland but Tony would be eaten alive by the midges

    1. We do keep looking at potential property but so far nothing has really grabbed our attention. Just as well given the current situation.

  4. Gorgeous garden, so pretty and colourful! Love your flags, too. You know we love a flag at Stonecroft.
A few of our friends have relocated to wales in recent years and are so happy with their decision. x
