I cut the top off to give me a wider mouth for planting the tomato
cut holes in the bottom and around the sides
added a bit of gravel and popped the tomato plant in
covered the roots with a bit more gravel
Threaded it onto the cane and popped it into the pond so that the roots are kept moist at all times
I put large stones on the cane to hold it in place
Frame for my little bush tomatoes
Look how quickly my lupin has grown
Another lupin just starting to flower
I shall watch with interest the tomatoe experiment.

Well done on starting your experiment. I'll enjoy seeing how it works out. Weather here is definitely as strange as this virus, with unusually cold temperatures here for May. Everything seems to be happening spasmodically in our lives, though we did do a little gardening early in the week on a dry day. Some of my hellebores have buds too. Yay! Take care, stay safe & huggles.
ReplyDeleteWeather is strange here too. It has been unusually hot for May. It's made me wonder whether our weather is the total opposite of yours.
DeleteIt all loooks really lovely!
