Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... At last.. yippee
Last weekend I managed to reduce my nerve pain medication down to an even lower level. Although not completely comfortable I can cope with this level of pain. My brain is now becoming less foggy and although I am still very forgetful.. Well, more so than was usual for me, I just simply feel better in myself. But best of all the blubber is simply melting away from my body. I was warned when I started taking the medication that weight gain was a very common side effect. Pah! thought I. How can medication do that? But annoyingly it did. I got chubbier and chubbier and eventually hit just short of ten stone and eleven pounds.. I have reduced the dose over many months but didn't notice a difference . Then last weekend I made another drop in dosage and the blubber is melting away. I can only assume it was water retention as the difference in my body shape is really noticeable. I have lost three pounds in a week and done absolutely nothing different. In fact I have exercised less as I just didn't feel like it this week. I may have to make some cakes to celebrate... just kidding. I am determined to get back to the nine stone ten or thereabouts that I was just before my operation last year.

I do admire your courage and how you have managed to keep your spirits up. I think I would have flagged under what you have had to endure this last year.
ReplyDeleteStill can't say that I fancy having my hip done though, lol
