I have just done an online shop at one of the big supermarkets. The earliest delivery slot that we could book was 6th April but Tony thought it might be a good idea to place the order anyway. I was very naughty and added 12 tins of cider to my grocery cart... well heck, if I must wash my hands with alcohol it seems silly not to wash my insides too :-) Annoyingly I wasn't able to order four loo rolls, I have had to order 24?????? I really really did not need 24 but assuming they are in fact available on the day they can sit on the spare bed. We might at some point have to start rationing our teabags though as although I was able to order some we won't know how long it will be before we can get anymore.
Cherie...My grandchildren played for hours in the garage on their "train" They say that trains are old fashion and they dressed for the occasion..haha....Anyway..we are in a mess here..now there will be homeschooling,,etc...but...we are as brave as we have to be...I am borrowing your quote on our Grandparents....I follow you but never see you in my feed...wonder why. xo
ReplyDeleteI found that some people I follow didn't show up in my feed. I had to add them individually.
DeleteI love that quote - just brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI love your alcohol quote lol. I must admit I'm going to get some alcohol on hand and chocolate. We're still able to get out to the shops and - although the shelves were empty at the weekend - they are slowly being restocked. There was even some toilet paper in the shops when I went today - not a lot and I had to pick up a huge pack. I'm actually glad I did as I was talking to an old work friend (older lady) and she mentioned she hadn't been able to find any and was running low so I shall share some with her.
ReplyDeleteHah! You read a similar thing to what I read about the war/couch business! I mentioned it tonight on my post.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen 4-rolls of toilet tissue for at least twenty years here!
You might be glad to have the extra toilet paper. I just took a couple of rolls to my neighbor. She went to six different stores in Santa Clarita, and they were all out of it. Glad you got the cider. I am starting to use my fruit tea twice. I do the same with chicken bones. You can cook them over and over until they dissolve. I may try cutting back to two cups of coffee a day. I usually have three...
ReplyDeleteAt least loo rolls won;t go out of date! I suspect there will be some wasted food as a result of the extra buying folk are doing right now.
ReplyDeleteCider sounds a good idea - don't drink it all at once though! :-)
