| Leek and potato soup |
Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... Simple soups
On Monday I made a lovely pan of minestrone soup. It started off as a veggie one and then I decided that I would add a tin of baked beans to it. It tasted just like minestrone soup so I cooked a bit of spaghetti and added it to the soup. Tony and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will certainly make it again. It's turned into a bit of a soup week as on Monday Tony's colleague gave him a bag full of leeks and a recipe for leek and potato soup... no guesses what we are having for tea tonight. I have never made it before and I am surprised how tasty it is. In the freezer we had some part baked seeded bread rolls from Aldi, they just need popping in the oven and they'll go down nicely with the soup

Leek and potato soup is my most favourite of all homemade soups. We love it with cheese scones or some good crusty bread.
