Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... The sports injury therapist
Well I've been and it was blimmin painful... Time will tell if it has made any difference. The therapist ran his hands up and down my legs and told me that I had injured my right leg many years ago...I broke it when I was a child. Then he felt along my hips and told me the right one wasn't sitting properly in the socket... he used a very painful massage machine to put it back where it should be. Apparently I had blocked lymph glands.. which he unblocked with his painful machine. Then I had to sit on a machine that vibrated violently... I was worried that I might disgrace myself in a most unladylike fashion so badly did it vibrate. He told me that my left buttock is like a rock...:-) I am to expect a lot of bruising for a few days but if it has made a difference to the pain in my hip I can cope with that. I have another appointment next week and then he said I shouldn't need to see him again... and I won't need a hip operation...I reserve judgement until I know if it has changed anything.

Sounds like the stuff of nightmares (especially the vibrating machine!) but I hope it does the job and makes a big difference. Chronic pain is a hard way to live.
ReplyDeleteIt will be worth every painful vibrating second if it has worked.
DeleteFingers crossed for you. X
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping everything crossed
DeleteOoooh 'eck....my son has to go and see a sports injury therapist as it has been found he has a bony spur on his spine which is causing him severe pain in his shoulder.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to let me know if it's done any good.....I hope it has.
Hugs -x-
I certainly have less pain this afternoon but I have some days like that anyway. I hopefully should know in a few days whether it worked
DeleteOh, how wonderful if its worked. I guess because he is blind he has more sense in touching if you know what I mean. I do hope it works for you.

He was really kind. He explained what he was doing and that it would hurt quite badly but only for twenty seconds... it felt like longer.
DeleteI really hope this works for you. X
ReplyDeleteOh Cherie, I can't respond. You know what I think. Please be careful. You don't want that hip to collapse. At least with the surgery you are numb and asleep. My pain was a zero to three in the hospital after having both hips done together. Now I am pain free, going on the fourth year.
ReplyDeleteI hear what you are saying but would far rather not have the surgery if it isn't needed. Doctors are often too quick to operate without looking at alternatives. In truth though I am not sure it has made a difference so surgery is probably still on the cards when I see the surgeon in February
DeleteWas this covered by NHS or private? Did you know someone else who had been treated by him?
ReplyDeleteIt was private. My friend has been treated by him.
