Well what's a girl to do when she can't decide which teapot to use.. :-) A couple of you naughty bloggers have got me really in the festive mood earlier than normal. I can usually wait until December the 1st. I am in the process of swapping out the crockery for the Christmas stuff. At this time of year I put away all the regular day to day kitchen stuff and bring out the festive ones. Tony is eyeballing the kettle. He has decided that it looks a bit faded and not 'festive enough'.. We have looked for a Christmas themed one for a long time but never seen one. Himself has decided we are having a new kettle. Does anyone know whether there are any enamel paints that might work if we paint snowmen on the sides?

I say use them all!
ReplyDeleteI think that's a very good idea.
DeleteWhat a great collection of teapots, such fun.
ReplyDeleteTony takes one of them to work from 1st December.... and a little Christmas tree for the staff room...
DeleteI've never thought of having a festive kettle or tea pot. It sounds lovely that you swap your crockery over to christmas themed one too. May be this is something I just might have to adopt.
ReplyDeleteM
We pretty much have festive everything. Even found Christmas tree shaped pan scrubbies.. :-)
DeleteI wonder if you could draw on it with a white pen-I use them for glass jars. Has to be the permanent type so that it dries. I had that kettle and toaster to match but has been replaced by cream now. Ours faded as well.
ReplyDeleteI will look into that. It just might work
DeleteI love the Christmas pudding one and have never ( here in the U.S.) seen one like it! I think it would make anybody smile to have a cuppa poured from that!
ReplyDeleteWe found it in a Charity shop last month. It cost the grand sum of £3
DeleteOh, how fun! I love the teapot for one. It's so fun to see all of your decorations.
ReplyDeleteYou ain't seen nothing yet... as the song goes... Wait till the weekend when Christmas hits Kemp Castle big style..x
DeleteI would use them all in rotation Cherie. They are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Christmas tree shaped one in Asda? I think it's about £8.
Never seen a festive kettle.
Hugs-x-
I won't dare read your comment out to Tony... he will go and buy one if I do.
DeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeleteSee what you got me into. I have been searching for Christmas kettles! How about using stamps and Stazon ink to stamp Christmas images on a white kettle and then painting with heat proof paints? x
ReplyDeleteThanks Hazel. I have emailed a couple of 'stove paint' firms to see if their paints would be safe to use on a kettle. I need to be careful that whatever I use won't give off nasty fumes. I am rubbish at stamping but could certainly use stencils to give me the effect we want.
DeleteLove the teapots, how about radiator paint for the kettle, it should stand up to the heat.
ReplyDeleteThat did cross my mind but I didn't know if it would cope with the high heat of the kettle.
