Made a start

Today I moved all my gorgeous Old Country Roses china onto the stairs... Then I took all the Christmas crockery out of the hall cupboard before putting all the Old Country Roses in the now empty cupboard. Everywhere needs a good dust and polish before we can decorate for Christmas. We need to swap out all the ornaments to make space for the Christmas things. Over the next few days we will bring all the Christmas trees and decs out of the loft. Christmas is on its way to Kemp Castle.

  1. That's exciting. I skipped the dust and polish part. I'm doing things backwards. I keep knitting when I should be cleaning!

  2. Goodness you are going to be busy. This weekend the big clean will take place (in case the Queen decides to pay a visit at any time) then all decs will be found and gone through to see what has survived another year and hopefully the tree itself will go up over the weekend. If this plan fails there is always next week....

  3. I am going to put a few things out but not all of it this year as we won't be here. The Christmas tableware is one thing I am not bothering with.

  4. Our tree has gone up today, Dec 1st here. My son had a great time decorating it and hanging the xmas lights with his Dad. I will do the cleaning afterwards ... maybe! Meg:)
