Sheila, you have set me off now. I am so in the mood today for house titivating. I plan to move all my avocado, and date seedlings from the back bedroom. This time of year I keep the workshop heated to prevent all my power tools rusting... The seedlings might as well sit on the shelf in there where it will be more constantly warm than the house... hmm, that sounds odd. It implies that the workshop is warmer than the house... Hmmmmmmn, come to think of it. It often is. Maybe I should just move into the workshop.
I won't know what to do with all the space in the
craftroom spare bedroom. I will actually be able to find the bed underneath all those plants. In truth the room has become a bit of a glory hole. I have craft stuff just pushed any old how out there. I think it is time for another purge. I may be brave enough to show a before and after picture... or maybe I will be too ashamed of the state it is in and just show an after shot. Call back later for a peep and see how I am getting on with the purge.
Later today I will take a few photo's of my growing houseplant collection. I am loving filling the house with greenery and have plenty of room for more. I asked Tony to buy me a new plant when he feels the urge to buy flowers. I much prefer having a beautiful variegated plant that I can keep forever. It will give me a nice purpose for an old hobby too. I plan to make a load of paper pulp flowers and shapes to stick on my cheap plastic plant pots. I will paint them all in toning colours . That won't be until next year though as the paper will need time try dry outside in the sunshine. In the meantime, I had better go and make a start.... after I have another cup of tea.
I read that house plants purify the air, with so many that must mean the air is wonderful in your house. I keep meaning to get some but its where to put them so the cats wont chew them.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the before and after craft/spare room

Hi Briony. I have been a bit surprised to see just how many houseplants are toxic to pets. It would be well worth checking up on ones that would be safe to have if you have animals.
DeleteBriony, maybe you could hang a few in macrame hangers like Cherie has done! Or will your cats become trapeze artists? lol
DeleteOh dear....I do apologise....lol.
ReplyDeleteI am back to titivating today after a day off yesterday.

I have moved things around and shopped the house making the lounge look completely different. Having a great deep clean in the process. It is a good feeling.
ReplyDeleteI love the term glory hole. I have a couple of those, most particularly our daughter's former bedroom where I have stashed all my craft stuff. But a lot of her stuff is still there too, making for a righteous mess.
ReplyDeleteI really like house plants, but I am not very good at keeping them alive. I tend to go for succulents that are hardy and hard to kill, and I use artificial plants a lot too. Enjoy your reorganising!
