I had a pretty uncomfortable night last night but thankfully Tony's medical insurance will cover my hip op so hopefully I will be pain free in the not too distant future. I have been chatting with a couple of people from my neighbourhood today. Both of whom have had a hip replacement in the past six weeks. They were full of encouragement and told me that they feel like different people now that they are properly on the mend from the op. I am hoping to be back to my usual fit and active self ASAP. With a bit of luck I can make a start on the Christmas quilt that I had planned on making last year... and bought the fabric for. Everything seems to rotate around whether my hip is being kind to me or not. I have good (ish) days and dreadful ones. Thankfully I have less dreadful ones than good ones. I have a physio appointment tomorrow and when I get home I think I will cut a load of fabric shapes and hand stitch some little lavender bags. They will be little projects that I can do when I can't face doing much else.
Good for you. I hope you can get in quickly now and on the way to recovery so you will no be too incapacitated for Christmas. I have been chatting with people too who have had knee surgery. Most reports are good, thankfully.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's excellent news. I'm so glad to hear you will be covered. I hope you have an excellent surgeon. I agree with your friends. I feel thirty years younger since having both of mine replaced. You shouldn't be in that much pain.
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled for you, hopefully now you won't have to wait too long.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that you are able to go privately and, after the op, you can resume where you left off. Pain can be so all-consuming and stop you from living life to the full. Hoping you are sorted very soon. Hang in there for now! x
