A cooking kind of morning

I have been in the cooking zone all morning... AKA The kitchen...:-) We love moussaka so that was first on my list of things to make.  I always make one big enough to last a couple of meals. It takes a couple of hours to make but the end result is worth all the faffing about.  Then I made three giant sized Scotch eggs.. We bought a tray of eggs at the weekend so I picked out three of the biggest ones. I used some lovely sausages from Tesco's 'Finest' range. It's well worth paying extra for something that tastes so good. I toasted a couple of slices of bread to turn into crumbs then simply wrapped the hard boiled eggs in sausage meat and rolled them in the crumbs.  I dipped them into beaten egg and rolled them in the crumbs a second time. Then I fried them in my deep fat fryer.  They are currently draining on a rack.  When we want to eat them I will bake them in the oven for twenty minutes or so at about 190.... These are a little bigger than a tennis ball

All cooked and ready to pop in the oven for tea tonight
